Q. How long is the Park open for each year?
A. We are open from 1st March until 14th January.
Q. What is the cost of purchasing a Holiday Home?
A. All our Holiday Homes are priced to include delivery, siting and connection; there are no hidden extras. If you purchase from elsewhere then all these costs are extra.
Q. What are the running costs?
A. The yearly running costs are payable in January. Piped gas and electric are metered and billed twice a year being read in June and October. Water is Included within the Site Fee. Insurance must be arranged separately.
Q. What Holiday Homes do you have for sale and what deposit do we need to secure our purchase?
A. We always have a good choice of new and Quality Pre Owned Caravans & Lodges available to view. We recommend all Holiday Homes now have double glazing and central heating. 10% will secure your Holiday Home along with pitch generally for 1 month. Deposits are non-refundable.
Q. We already have a Holiday Home or have seen one elsewhere can we bring it on to Palé Wood?
A. Generally, we would prefer to sell you a Caravan from our own stock, however, if we have a pitch available and are able to accommodate your Holiday Home we will (subject to quotation). We also deal with Salop, Lloyds and Kellett’s Caravans so we can supply any make or model (again, subject to quotation).
Q. What amenities does the Park have?
A. Palé Wood is a haven of peace and tranquillity; we do not have a shop or clubhouse. What we do have is 43 Acres of Private Woodland teeming with wildlife along with spectacular views of the Dee valley and Snowdonia. We have a well-stocked small coarse fishing pool, laundrette and Information Centre along with a dedicated park reception.
Q. Who owns Palé Wood?
A. The Park is a family company solely owned by Mr Dean de Gregory together with His Son Sam. We are not owned by a large group; we aim to exceed your expectations.
Q. Can we sub-let our Holiday Home?
A. Palé Wood is strictly a non-letting Park, however, you are free to let your family and friends use your Caravan at any time.
Q. Do we Own the Land?
A. No, you don’t own the land. You are buying a luxury Holiday Home with the right to occupy a pitch of your choice Subject to your License, providing you pay the annual site fees and abide by the Parks rules
Q. Can we sell our Caravan on Park?
A. You can sell the holiday caravan on the park with our agreement and the buyer will have the benefit of the
remaining Licence Agreement term. You may also move the holiday caravan off the park. If you sell on the park you
must pay us a transfer fee, specified in the Licence Agreement.
Q. Do you accept pets?
A. Many owners bring their pets. We reserve the right to refuse any dog we class as being a dangerous breed.
Q. Can I live in my Holiday Home?
A. No, you can use your Holiday home for short or longer breaks. If you lived in your holiday home, you would be in
breach of our planning and site licence. We do ask all customers for proof that they have a permanent home address
