Located on the Isle of Anglesey and at the entrance of the Menai Strait, Beaumaris, is a terrific place to soak up some heritage. There are plenty of buildings of notable interest such as the castle courthouse which was built in 1614, St Mary’s parish church and the 14th century Tudor Rose, one of the oldest timber-framed buildings in Britain.
As well as the history that surrounds Beaumaris, the coastline is equally as scenic. Kick back and relax whilst watching the many yachts and pleasure vessels sail around the pier. Or head on over to dine in at a cafe or restaurant of choice and don’t forget to explore the streets of independent shops and galleries.
This quaint village that is nestled in the Conwy Valley, is simply beautiful. It is the perfect location for climbers, adventurers and walkers who want to explore North Wales’ nature.
With Snowdonia’s National Park in the heart of Betws-Y-Coed, you are sure to experience cascading waterfalls, hill-top lakes and even ancient bridges on the way. However, you don’t need to embrace your inner Bear Grylls to enjoy what’s on offer. There are plenty of outdoor shops and crafts to enjoy in the village for all to appreciate. Or why not head on over to the train station where you will find a miniature railway, shops and restaurant. We must admit we the icecream is rather lovely too!
