There’s a wide range of different activities to do in North Wales and each town is different from the next. We have put together this handy list of North Wales towns that you should put on your bucket list when visiting.

Abersoch

Abersoch is situated on the coast of the Llyn Peninsula. As well as being a popular seaside resort, Abersoch has a laid back vibe throughout and has plenty of watersports and various festival events to enjoy.

Explore in style by hopping on a boat for a trip around St Tudwal’s Island and discover seals and other wildlife on your journey. Or, simply take in the breathtaking views of Mount Snowdon in the near distance.

As well as exploring the delightful village and harbour, don’t forget to explore the many independent shops, bistros, and cafes to really immerse yourself in everything Abersoch has to offer.

Beaumaris

Located on the Isle of Anglesey and at the entrance of the Menai Strait, Beaumaris is a terrific place to soak up some heritage. There are plenty of buildings of notable interest such as the castle courthouse which was built in 1614, St Mary’s Parish Church and the 14th century Tudor Rose, one of the oldest timber-framed buildings in Britain.

As well as the history that surrounds Beaumaris, the coastline is equally as scenic. Kick back and relax whilst watching the many yachts and pleasure vessels sail around the pier. Or head on over to dine in at a cafe or restaurant of choice and don’t forget to explore the streets of independent shops and galleries.

Harlech

Harlech may be a small town, but it has plenty to offer. From craft shops, places to eat and the spectacular Castle, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a day out and experience the realm of a different Welsh town. Plus, there is also a beach you can spend the day at too, which is a great dog friendly beach in North Wales.

Betws-Y-Coed

This quaint village that is nestled in the Conwy Valley, is simply beautiful. It is the perfect location for climbers, adventurers and walkers who want to explore North Wales’ nature.

With Snowdonia’s National Park in the heart of Betws-Y-Coed, you are sure to experience cascading waterfalls, hill-top lakes and even ancient bridges on the way. However, you don’t need to embrace your inner Bear Grylls to enjoy what’s on offer. There are plenty of outdoor shops and crafts to enjoy in the village for all to appreciate. Or why not head on over to the train station where you will find a miniature railway, shops and restaurant. We must admit that the ice cream is rather lovely too!
